Villa d'Este
Built in the sixteenth century for a cardinal and a hotel since the nineteenth, Villa d'Este is the most famous address in Cernobbio. Its gardens and the floating pool face the lake: from the boat you see the whole façade and the garden behind it.

Villa Erba and the bay
Next door, Villa Erba was the summer house of the Visconti family, where the director Luchino Visconti spent his childhood. Today it hosts events. Together with the old villas along the shore, it makes the Cernobbio bay one of the most elegant stretches of the lake.
