From Carate Urio the boat goes north past Villa Oleandra in Laglio and the Nesso waterfall, then to Villa del Balbianello, the villa of Casino Royale and Star Wars, and crosses to Bellagio, where there is time to step ashore.

With four hours you also reach Varenna and its coloured houses on the eastern shore. With six, the whole central lake: Villa Monastero, Bellagio, Balbianello and Isola Comacina, at a slower pace and with time for a swim.
